Huntington Workshop on the Go

Hello my friends.  Can you believe we are half way through September already!! Geesh!!!
Today's post my contribution for our second month of the Don't Get Yourself In A Tangle Blog Hop.  At the bottom of my post are the rest of blogs for your hopping leisure.

Today I am sharing a two page layout using the Close to my Heart Huntington Workshop on the Go.  If you haven't tried a Workshop on the Go, I recommend you do! With Workshops on the Go, you create a beautiful project — either a two-page scrapbook layout or a set of cards — using the materials in just one Workshops on the Go kit, which includes papers, coordinating embellishments, an exclusive My Acrylix D-size stamp set, and an instructional guide. Which I followed to a T!  I have space to put at least 4 pictures plus a space for journaling.
Here you can see some of the embellishments that come with the kit.  Above are some shiny rhinestones and cute little buttons and below is one of the canvas shapes.  See that little tri-colored leaf?  I did that with a stamp from the kit and three colors of ink!  Isn't it adorable!!!?
The lines on the kraft paper above are also from a stamp from the Huntington Workshop on the Go.
Here's one last peek. I LOVE those leaves!
Thank you for joining me today.  I'd love to hear what you think of my layout.

New York circa 1998

Hello my friends.  Today I am sharing the two page layout I just finished.  The pictures are from a vacation my kids and I took to visit our friends, in NJ, to celebrate New Years.  We took the train in to New York and soaked in the city.  There was so much to see! One of the things we did was to go up to the viewing balcony in the Empire State Building and that's where I took the background images. I loved the Chrysler Building, but it's the other photo that has more of an important meaning.  The Twin Towers.
Another memory of the time we spent there were the taxi's.  They were everywhere!  I created the taxi's I used with some clip art. Print, cut and then layered some for a bit of dimension.

The papers are from Close to my Heart.  If you haven't seen their glitter paper, you don't know what you are missing! It is so um glittery LOL  Here's a link for the papers here.

Windmill 2012

Happy weekend y'all.  Today I'm sharing a double page layout of the Halloween party we had in our neighborhood. I had a great time making my layout because I also got to spend time with a friend scrapping the same party.  As soon as she finishes her journaling I'll post her layout.
Here are a few close ups of some of the stars on my page.
First we have Mr. Spider in his purple glittered outfit.   All the cuts are done using the now famous Artiste cartridge.
next up..Miss Kitty.  She decided to wear purple so she would stand out in the crowd.
What's a Halloween party with out some mummies?!  Here they are dancing across the bottom of the pages.
All the cuts are done using the now famous Artiste cartridge from Close to My Heart. Stamping was done using the stamp set from the Workshops on the Go Moonlight Scrapbooking Kit.

Feeling Flirty

Hey there my good buddies.  It's the weekend so I hope you are relaxing, or at least you are able to find some crafting time.
Today's post is of a two page layout that I just finished, using the Flirty collection from Close To My Heart.

I had the girls from my Kreative Klub use the Flirty Workshop on the Go kit. It's so amazing how everyone's layout comes out differently.
The picture above is my son at 11 months.  To show you how behind I am in scrapbooking, my son will be 28 next month.  eeek!
I made the cute little envelope using the Artiste cartridge and it holds a bit of journaling
We had some very fun fall days back then.  These pictures bring back such nice memories and they make me smile.
Thanks for joining me today,
Smiling Michelle
