Altered Bird House

I decided it was high time to alter another $1 bird house.  I'm so glad I did.  Isn't it adorable!? First I painted the edges that would show using Sizzling Red Glamour Dust ultra fine glitter paint by DecoArt.  The little ball feet are painted using turquoise paint by CraftSmart.

I covered the sides of the bird house with the beautiful flowered paper from Crate Paper's Vintage collection. The roof is covered with paper from the same collection, so I knew they would look great together. I used Stampin' Up!s scallop punch to jazz up the bird entrance.  I add black half back pearls all around then attached the scallop to another punched out in turquoise.  I used dimensionals to glue the new door to the bird house.

I had accidentally got a bit of paint on the roof and then got a brilliant idea to add a lady bug to cover it.  Pretty creative, huh?  The other side of the house has a small bee on it's roof.  The turquoise pom pom trim was added and voila.  Cute little bird house.
Let me know what you think.
hugs,
Michelle
