Color Blocked Typed Note

Happy April!  Spring is springing!  Outside my window I can hear a lawn mower, birds chirping and someone is getting a new roof.  I love having my windows open!
So today's post features the April Stamp of the Month called Typed Note.  This is such a versatile stamp set, just look at all those sentiments!

I created a couple cards and have many more swirling around in my head.  The background of both the cards reminds me of a color blocked dress my daughter had when she was young.

What do you think?  Aren't they adorable?   They are both already in the mail....I wonder who the lucky recipients are.  :-)
Thanks for stopping in and I hope you are able to enjoy this wonderful Spring day.

Close to my Heart Cricut Artbooking Pre-Order Free Shipping plus Free August Stamp of the Month

Hello in case in case you may have missed the hub-bub, CTMH did it again!!!  They came out with a new cartridge with over 700 images, 3 stamp sets and 3 sets of dimensional images!!  The focus of this cartridge is 'Art-booking'.  If you've noticed lately, scrapbook pages and cards are changing.  There are now lots of arrows, shapes and 12x12 templates-- like a background full of sun rays or circles. Until this cartridge, you have to buy an expensive Cameo Silhouette in order to cut these trendy shapes or buy numerous dies. Well, thanks to CTMH, there is now a more cost effective option-- the CTMH Artbooking Cricut Cartridge!

If you love making mini-books, then this cartridge offers many options in sizes and shapes!  It even includes a number of templates for books-- travel, snapshot, baby, summer, kids, etc.

In terms of card-making, this cartridge has those trendy 'polaroid' shapes, arrows, and background templates-- tree bark, hound's-tooth, sun rays, circles, etc.  It also has many shapes for card-making, including ones that can be used with the coordinating CTMH stamps.

For scrapbooking, there are a number of sample pages to cut out.  They cover every occasion-- Christmas, snow, birthday, school, beach, travel, etc.

Sad news is that it won't be available until August 1st. But wait!  Pre-order your Artbooking Cricut Bundle from me and I will include the August Stamp of the Month, A Chocolate Affair, for Free!  The stamp set is a $17.95 value!  And if that's not enough to convince you, how about FREE SHIPPING! :-)
Does that sound like an info-mercial or what! Seriously,  I can not wait to get this cartridge!!
There are 15 layout themes, you can create several coordinating pages for each theme using just two keys.  Images include accents, borders, titles, overlays, photo mats....I could go on..
I have loved both the Art Philosophy and Artiste Cricut Cartridges and I know that I will be lovin' this new Cartridge just as much, if not more!!  I will offer FREE SHIPPINGg on your entire order if it includes the Cricut Artbooking Cartridge for the month of July and August.  (Tax not included)  However, the cartridge will not ship out until August 1st.
ok, I'm getting of my platform now :-)
Enjoy your day!

Tommy, Artiste and My Sunshine Surprise Slide Out Card

Another Surprise Slide Out Card for your viewing pleasure :-)   This one is made using papers from the Close to my Heart Tommy collection.  The Cricut Artiste to cut out my shapes. And then the April stamp of the month, My Sunshine.
This is such a fun card to create, because once you have the base cut then it's off to decorate to your heart's desire.  If you need the directions, here is my original post plus a link to my tutorial.
Here's the card closed.  Nice and flat for easy peasy mailing.
Thanks for visiting me again!

My Sunshine

Hello my blog friends, are you ready for your weekend to begin?  I hope you all have a wonderful one.  Today I have two cards to share with you.  The first one is a CASE from a very talented lady.  You can find her original card here.  http://www.scrapbookymas.com/
My card uses the April Stamp of the Month called My Sunshine and is only available for a few more days.  The paper I used is from the Buzz and Bumble collection. And the cuts were made using the Cricut Artiste. Can you see the colors of the balloon?  I embossed it with white then sponged on different colors of ink to make the gorgeous effect.
One of the things I learned from Scrapbook y Mommas, was to score the Close to my Heart cardstock, turn it over so you have the 'hill' facing you and sand. Because the cardstock has a white core, the white will show through when sanded. Kinda cool huh.?
My next card also uses the Stamp of the Month but I used the Tommy paper collection along with the Coordinating Adhesive Canvas Sheets. Lots of distressing on this one.
I am having lots of fun with this stamp set, as you can see!  Let me know if you are interested in any of these products or any other that you might stumble upon.

Thanks for stopping in and I hope you have a fabulous weekend.
