Close to my Heart new Frosted Premier!

Hello lovely blog land, have I got a project for you!  I recently joined a swap with other CTMH consultants featuring the new collections coming out in the new Autumn/Winter Close to my Heart Idea Book. I chose the beautiful Frosted line ~ I absolutely LOVE the soft blue and cream colors. And the patterns in this designer paper just sent me over the edge!  LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!

Our projects were to create a Double Page layout.  I decided to go to a tried and true layout that can be found in the Make it From your Heart Volume 1.  I'll tell you more about that later... We also needed to create an A2 size card, a 3 x 3 card and a 3D item.
So up first is my 3D project ~ For each ornament, using the Cricut Artiste cartridge, I cut out the base ornament out of colonial white, then used some of the gorgeous snowflake paper from the collection for the top layer.  I glued four pieces together with the red and white twine in the middle then decorated it with Silver glitter glue.
Next up is the 3 x 3 card.  Easy to put together using one of the stamps that come with the new Workshop on the Go Frosted Card Making Kit.  Included in the kit are 10 stamps!  TEN!! TEN different stamps! Here's what's included in the kit
  • 2 - Frosted B $ T Duos Papers
  • 5 - Cardsock Sheets-15 - Colonial White Cards and Envelopes
  • 10 - Stamps
  • 10 yards of Champagne, Colonial White & Silvers Baker's Twine
  • 108!! Silver Glitter Gems
  • 1 - Instructional Brochure
That's a whole bunch of awesomeness for $24.95!  Below I will tell you how you can get in on this deal.

On to the card...Isn't it beautiful?!  I love the softness of these colors.  Again, I used one of the stamp sets from the Workshop on the Go Frosted Card Making Kit. Do you see the twine?  Gorgeous!  This comes in the kit as well.  It is Champagne, Colonial White and Silver Baker's Twine.

Remember the first picture...here it is again.  I just wanted to show you how the layouts look side by side. LOOOVE!!
Above is the left side ready for a 6" x 8" and a 3" x 3" picture. The beautiful shape was cut with the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge.
And, above, is the right side ready for two 3" x 3" and a 6" x 4" pictures.  I've also included a lift up journaling spot decorated with more of the pretty twine and a gorgeous Silver Glitter Gem.
I hope you enjoyed today's post.  It was a long one for sure, but I just can't say enough about this paper.  It is so beautiful.  I think you really need to see it in person.
So if you are ready to place an order :-)  bop on over to my shop page ~ you'll see a link to my most recent gathering.  I called it August 1, 2014 (don't know what I was thinking when I named it) Click on the JOIN button and you're off!

My Sunshine

Hello my blog friends, are you ready for your weekend to begin?  I hope you all have a wonderful one.  Today I have two cards to share with you.  The first one is a CASE from a very talented lady.  You can find her original card here.  http://www.scrapbookymas.com/
My card uses the April Stamp of the Month called My Sunshine and is only available for a few more days.  The paper I used is from the Buzz and Bumble collection. And the cuts were made using the Cricut Artiste. Can you see the colors of the balloon?  I embossed it with white then sponged on different colors of ink to make the gorgeous effect.
One of the things I learned from Scrapbook y Mommas, was to score the Close to my Heart cardstock, turn it over so you have the 'hill' facing you and sand. Because the cardstock has a white core, the white will show through when sanded. Kinda cool huh.?
My next card also uses the Stamp of the Month but I used the Tommy paper collection along with the Coordinating Adhesive Canvas Sheets. Lots of distressing on this one.
I am having lots of fun with this stamp set, as you can see!  Let me know if you are interested in any of these products or any other that you might stumble upon.

Thanks for stopping in and I hope you have a fabulous weekend.

Whooo loves you?

Since Valentine's Day is tomorrow, I thought it was high time that I post a Valentine's Day card.   Isn't that owl the cutest little guy?!  He or maybe a she is from the special set from Close to my Heart called Whooo's Your Valentine.
The cut-out card was cut with the Cricut Artiste cartridge using paper from the Chantilly collection. Beautiful!!
I teach a card class, once a month and this is one of the cards we made.  The ladies loved it!
Here's a close-up of the little owls.  I love those eyes!

Flowered Bracket Frame

Happy weekend to my blog readers!  I hope you are able to relax before the new week begins. I sure am:-)
For today's post I am sharing a bracket frame that I have just completed.  Didn't it come out gorgeous!!
And those yummy flowers sure made it fun and easy to created.
All the products are from Close to my Heart, including the bow!  Yup, CTMH is now stocking fabric to match some of their gorgeous papers.
My process: Pink paper was cut using the Artiste cartridge then adheared to the bracket frame using Mod Podge. The flowers, also cut with the Artiste, were made using papers from the new Chantilly collection. Pearls were placed in the centers.  The leaves and flourishes were also cut from the Artiste.  Can you tell I love my Artiste! You can also see a couple of the coordinating badge buttons, the yellow background and bow all from the Chantilly line (available February 1st)
Now I need to decide what goes into this gorgeous frame.  I'll keep you posted.
Thanks for visiting,
Michelle

Boo!

Happy weekend!
Here's a cute little coffin I created using the Cricut Artiste cartridge and Close to my Heart papers and a sprinkling of Glitter Gel.
The letters and shape, spider and spider web were also cut with the Artiste.  Have I told you how much I love that cartridge?  I am truly considering getting rid of all my other cartridges.
If you are interested in purchasing your own Cricut Artiste, just follow this link.  You won't regret it!
