FOREVER IN MY HEART

Oh My Gosh!  I LOVE this card!  I love it so much I haven't even cleaned up after myself  because I was so excited to share it with you as soon as I could!  The card uses almost all 11 the stamps that come in the set FOREVER IN MY HEART.  Yup Eleven stamps in the set! WOWZA!  But wait, I haven't done the inside yet!  I bet I'll be using the rest inside.  Ok, I'll stop blabbing.  Check it out!

I used the Edge Distresser and Sanding Kit to take my distressing over the top. Then using a Sponge Dauber I added Saddle Ink to all the edges.  Even the doily, that I had cut up, got a dose of distress.
To give the card more of a sparkle (we all could use a bit of sparkle, right!?) I sprayed some Glitter Mist all over the card.  It came out so subtle and so perfect for this card.
Always on my mind, forever in my heart.  What a beautiful sentiment.
The stamp set is only available through March, so if this set pulls at your heart and if you need it, I'd hop right over to my Shop and put this cutie on your 'gotta have this' list.
Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you have a fabulous day!

Whooo loves you?

Since Valentine's Day is tomorrow, I thought it was high time that I post a Valentine's Day card.   Isn't that owl the cutest little guy?!  He or maybe a she is from the special set from Close to my Heart called Whooo's Your Valentine.
The cut-out card was cut with the Cricut Artiste cartridge using paper from the Chantilly collection. Beautiful!!
I teach a card class, once a month and this is one of the cards we made.  The ladies loved it!
Here's a close-up of the little owls.  I love those eyes!

Beautiful

Beautiful ~ that's what you are.  This is a photo of the Valentine's Day card I made for my daughter.  Amazingly, the cut out word, the chandelier and the tree branch have been tucked away for almost 3 years.  They have survived through 2 room moves, a house move and then another 3 room moves.  How, I guess so they could be used for this card! of course. Debbie MR, if you are reading this, I made these at your house the very first time we met!  We used Cricut's Home Decor cartridge and we were just learning what a Cricut was. ☺
So once I decided what I was actually going to do with the images, the card came together quickly.  I glittered the chandelier using Pink Pailee Pixee Stix. (Debbie I got the glitter at that craft yard sale we went to!)  I layered the pink chandelier with a brown one we had cut out, Hooked it onto the branch and adhered them both to paper out of The French Country Stack by DCVW..  A gorgeous stack I found at Michael's. Lots of distressing was added and a large quantity of pearls.  I think it turned out Beautiful!

Happy February

Today's post is a picture of my February calendar page.  I am making a perpetual calendar using images from Cricut's A Child's Year and paper from the Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby paper pack collection.  Perpetual meaning I just need to make new month pages each year.
Today is a quick post, we are moving the office/craft room into the master bedroom.  I can't wait to see how it's going to turn out!!
thanks for stopping in ☺

Falling Behind

Wow, I have been really falling behind on my postings. Which could be a good thing because I am so very busy these days. I have been teaching card making, to a wonderful group of ladies, once a week. We make two cards and they seem to be taking an hour each to make, so can get pretty involved. I think they are all happy with what I am coming up with since they still show up every week :-) I promise to post some of the cards we have made, but not today. Today's card is my Valentine's Day card for my husband.

The picture above was taken in front of the sewing machine because I did some sewing on the card to enter into Drew's challenge over on Scrappy Happiness. Below you can see the stitches more clearly. I made the pink ruffles out of paper then sewed them down and also stitched all around the outside of the card.
This card also qualifies to be entered into the Pals Paper Arts challenge which is to use a Vintage theme. Love it!

The paper is from Prima's Shabby Chic Collection called "My Lovely", the Love sticker is from Making Memories, and the pink blooms well, sorry I don't know. The hat pin was put together with some yummies that I already had.

Thanks for checking in on me :-)

I have finished my submission into the Splitcoaststampers Holiday cards. We are to create ten holiday cards each month. I had run out of the pink and red paper so sadly I had to go to the stamping store this morning to pick some up. I found a fabulous stamp, while there, to make my husbands valentine card. I wish I could show it to you, but yesterday I caught him reading my blog!
This is the Valentine card set I made for the challenge. It was a long process...First I water colored the hearts with watercolor pencils. Then scanned it into my computer and colored in the
ribbons holding the hearts. Printed them out and put crystal lacquer on the hearts. Of course I had to wait for them all to dry. Once dry I used layers of red and pink bazzill paper and offray ribbon and there you have it.
When I was working on getting a picture of my card to upload, Liyah saw the camera and just had to get into the picture. Thanks for peaking!
