Tri-shutter Card

Goodness where has the time gone!  I store my pictures on my computer by the month that I created them.  Today I went to put this beauty of a card in the correct folder then realized I haven't even made a March folder.  good golly!
I am so behind!!
Alright, onto the card.  Isn't it gorgeous!?
The papers are all from the Chantilly collections from Close to my Heart.  Love.  The colors and design of this paper is so pretty.  The bird and dimensional flowers were cut on the Cricut using the Artiste cartridge.  Love.
If you are interested in creating your own tri-shutter fold card, here is a link to the directions. It looks hard but it's actually quite easy to create.  And so much fun to decorate.
Thanks for checking in on me.
Have a great day,
Michelle

tri-shutter card

Here's my take on the tutorial over on Splitcoasters for the tri-shutter card. You can find the directions here. I used the beautiful, retired Parisian Breeze Specialty paper from Stampin'-Up! The stamp is from the Baroque Motifs set, then added lots of flowers, half pearl backs some ribbon and a ribbon slide. Didn't it come out great?
I had made one of these a week ago, but ended up giving it to a total stranger who had admired it at CHA. She had admitted to be a newbie to the craft world and was totally overwhelmed by CHA. I'm so glad to have been able to help her along with a new craft. Who ever you are, I hope you are still smiling and enjoying your new hobby.
hugs,
Michelle

Here is my attempt to make a tri-fold card. And I'll have to pat myself on the back because it came out pretty nice. I used the Kind Thoughts stamp set. I embossed the flower design then using my blender pen with my ink pads, I colored it in. Then I realized it fit perfectly in the scallop punch. Those people at SU! are pretty smart!
