Happy 26 To My Baby Girl

 My sweet baby girl recently turned 26.  It is amazing how quickly the time has gone by.  It's also amazing how your child can become one of your best friends.  I love you Ciara!

I created a stair step card for Ciara, using Cakewalk from October Afternoon.  Isn't it so fun!

 I love the vintage images that October Afternoon used in this collection.

 I remember having a pin the tail on the donkey at one of my birthday parties.  Love!

 I popped up most of the elements to give them a jumping off the page look.

It was just luck to have the number 26 on the Bingo page.

La Belle Vie Mini Book

Hello my friends.   I've got a quick post for you today full of pictures from Easter 2012. I used the La belle Vie collection from Close To My Heart along with the Dimensional Elements Album Page to create this adorable little Mini Album.

 

 

 I used my Cricut Artiste to cut all the pages and elements that I used for the mini.

 This mini is the Bonus Project for the La Belle Vie line so all the stamping and elements were part of the Workshop on the Go kit.

 You may notice that Ciara and I are wearing the same dress.  Yes, we did plan it that way.  :)

Bohemian Mulberry Flower Headband

Today's post is of a fun headband that my daughter created to put in our Etsy shop.  We are having so much fun coming up with new products that it's hard to stop playing and post them online.

 The flowers are made of mulberry and look gorgeous all lined up on a satin ribbon.

Golf Cart

Now for something a little different ... Here's what I have been doing the past couple of days, decorating our golf cart and I'm having a ball!  I am using the Cricut cartridge ~ Life is a Beach.  Fun Fun Fun images!  For the front of the cart, using my Expression,  I cut out two lizards with their tails entwined, some hibiscus flowers and our names. I think I'll add a few more elements before I will call the front finished.  I am also working on the sides of the cart, but I'm going to save those pictures for when I am done.  To finish up, I had to order some more vinyl from Expressions Vinyl  .( Great service)  I am loving this stuff!  Have you ever played with vinyl? It is so easy to work with that I am looking around my house to see where else I could use it.  I've come up with a few ideas, so be sure to come back to see what's up my sleeve 

oh..and that's my daughter Ciara and pup Liyah.  They love the cart decorations, too

 This week's challenge at Fantabulous Cricut is to make a project with at least three flowers.  I think this qualifies ☺

Beautiful

Beautiful ~ that's what you are.  This is a photo of the Valentine's Day card I made for my daughter.  Amazingly, the cut out word, the chandelier and the tree branch have been tucked away for almost 3 years.  They have survived through 2 room moves, a house move and then another 3 room moves.  How, I guess so they could be used for this card! of course. Debbie MR, if you are reading this, I made these at your house the very first time we met!  We used Cricut's Home Decor cartridge and we were just learning what a Cricut was. ☺
So once I decided what I was actually going to do with the images, the card came together quickly.  I glittered the chandelier using Pink Pailee Pixee Stix. (Debbie I got the glitter at that craft yard sale we went to!)  I layered the pink chandelier with a brown one we had cut out, Hooked it onto the branch and adhered them both to paper out of The French Country Stack by DCVW..  A gorgeous stack I found at Michael's. Lots of distressing was added and a large quantity of pearls.  I think it turned out Beautiful!

Happy Birthday Ci

 Today's card is for my baby who turns 25 today.  She came for a visit and while she was sleeping, I created this card.  It was so easy to put together once I decided on using my stash by The Girls Paperie.  In fact, the strips are some of my scraps.

First I edged all the strips with Tim Holt's Vintage Photo then adhered them onto the card base.  It was truly my lucky day, because I didn't have to do any trimming on the height of the strips. I trimmed the width, I then glued down the flower trim, figured out where to put the chandelier beads (from my stash) glued them down and topped it off with a five petal flower, edged the bird and glued it down and then the rhinestone trim. The rhinestones are from Michael's and the green flower ribbon from Webster's Pages was a perfect match.

Glowing

A quick posting of a digital Halloween layout that I did recently.  It's not my design, I CASED it from a layout done by Mari who works and designs for my local scrap store.  Shout out to Scrappy Boutique in Orlando Florida!  The layout features Authentique Paper's brand new collection - Glowing!

I was in a shoe swap awhile ago and these are the cuties that I made. 

 

My beautiful daughter and her beautiful best friend at their prom.  The pictures were taken a few years ago and I finally got around to scrapping them.  I still have to do a bit of journaling, but I thought I'd share my layout with this bunch of projects.

 My next card uses one of the cute House Mouse stamps.  I made this one for my Mom who loved it enough to ask me to make her some to use for herself.

A close up of the little 'meeses'.  I used flock for their fur and glossy accents on the medicine bottle.

 Another fun stamp.  I colored her with markers and my water pen.

 Next up is a card using an image from Webster's pages and hand made flowers.  I had my girls in class create this card and they all came out fabulous.

I love this Sweet Innocence girl from MFT and I love fairies so this card was a good combo.

  

And another fairy!  This girl is from the Child's Year Cricut cartridge.  I used velum on the back of her wings then colored the sections using my markers.

The next two are digital stamps from Digi Doodle.  The top image was embroidered and I used crystal effects on the water. This is one of my favorites at the moment.

 

 Here's the same image but done in different colors.  I still like the first one :-)

And lastly this little girl is also a digital stamp and she's from Bug a Boo. I colored her in using my computer.

Golden Jubilee Cookies

Don't these look delicious!? Yup, they sure were. This post is a teensy bit late ~ we made these cookies the day before Christmas.

Here we are; me, Ciara and my Mom ~ the Golden Jubilee Cookie Bakers. The recipe we use was handed down from my Grandmother. We've changed it up a bit, over the years, by replacing the lard with butter and crisco and no nut 'meats' cuz I'm not supposed to have any.

Mom's job was to put the dough on the pans.

Ciara was in charge of keeping the frosting warm and in charge of me to make sure
I was cutting the cherries right.

I guess we all did our jobs perfectly because look at that yumminess!

Beautiful Girl

I created a digital page using Feather Fashion from Webster's Pages Hollywood Vogue line. I first rotated the paper so my image would be on the right. I changed the color of the peacock and of the chandelier (stamp)so they would match the text color I wanted to use. I also removed the image that was inside the frame and added a picture of my daughter that I also touched up with some added tone.

Yes, I'm still here....

Here are a few scrap pages that I've done recently.

Here's a couple pages of Ciara, 17 years ago. The journaling reads:
When Ciara was in kindergarten her hair was very long. In school the other girls would play her hair so much that she would have trouble concentrating on her school work. So one day she asked to have it cut. We cut it first to her shoulders then up to her ears. Ciara loved it!

Here's a close up of some of the flowers I used. The second page was part of a challenge on Scrapbook.com. What an addicting site that is!

Here's another page I created for two challenges. One was to use a template and the other was to scrap your pets. So I combined the two.

And a close up of the flower I made...Isn't it cute!?

Georgia, oh sweet Georgia on my mind

My daughter and her boyfriend took a long weekend in Savannah Georgia and had an absolutely wonderful time. This was their first time to get away from their hectic college life. And what a fabulous idea to go to a B & B...so romantic.
I decided that they definitely needed something special to remind them of their trip. Hence.. The Book.

She hasn't seen The Book yet so I hope you have enjoyed the peek.
