Easter Egg challenges

 Wow!  There are an awful lot of Easter projects out here in blogsville and I thought I should join the crowd.  I started out with a white Recollection tag from Michael's, covered it with my favorite My Mind's Eye checked paper. Then using Cricut Design Studio and A Child's Year I created my little scene of Easter eggs and chicks.  Cut the images out with my Expression using more Recollection paper and glued them all together.  'cuteness'.

I added purple trim it's an oldie paper ribbon from Basic Grey.  I glued my 'cuteness' down onto the tag then added the lace and bead trims along the edges of the tag.  Next the beautiful ribbon.  I am in love with how soft this silk ribbon from the Stamp Simply store.  I wish you could just reach in to your computer and touch the ribbon, it feels like it's floating.  I added a jeweled stick pin and voila, an adorable Easter gift tag.

All Things Grow With Love

Happy Tuesday.  I've decided to try another challenge, this one is a sketch challenge over at My Cricut Craft Room.  Today we were challenged with a sketch and color restrictions. Here is the sketch and we had to use the pastel colors of green and yellow plus one other color as your main colors.  So I guess white is my other main color.  The winner of this challenge will win the Flower Shoppe Cricut Cartridge!  Sweet!
so ~my card started out with SU Certainly Celery as its base.  Then I used SU  Barely Banana as the next layer. I used my Cricut Expression and SCAL to cut out the scalloped rectangle then ran the piece through my Big Shot using a Cuttlebug Birds and Swirls embossing folder.
After that it was time for the fun part, decorating!  The main image is a die cut from K & Company that fit perfectly with the color restrictions.  The rest of the flowers are 3-d stickers that had been used to decorate the club house for a dance that was held last year.  Yup, I took the decorations home with me and look how pretty they look on the card.    Recycling at its finest.

Golf Cart

Now for something a little different ... Here's what I have been doing the past couple of days, decorating our golf cart and I'm having a ball!  I am using the Cricut cartridge ~ Life is a Beach.  Fun Fun Fun images!  For the front of the cart, using my Expression,  I cut out two lizards with their tails entwined, some hibiscus flowers and our names. I think I'll add a few more elements before I will call the front finished.  I am also working on the sides of the cart, but I'm going to save those pictures for when I am done.  To finish up, I had to order some more vinyl from Expressions Vinyl  .( Great service)  I am loving this stuff!  Have you ever played with vinyl? It is so easy to work with that I am looking around my house to see where else I could use it.  I've come up with a few ideas, so be sure to come back to see what's up my sleeve 

oh..and that's my daughter Ciara and pup Liyah.  They love the cart decorations, too

 This week's challenge at Fantabulous Cricut is to make a project with at least three flowers.  I think this qualifies ☺
