2011 Thankful

I realized today that I had totally forgotten to take any pictures, let alone post, my yearly "what I am thankful for" page.  This is my third year doing my own little tradition and I am so 'thankful' to be able to go back and read the notes that I had written for myself.

Each layout has a hidden bit of journaling that does not need to be seen by everyone but not to be forgotten by me.  This years secrets are hiding in a pocket with a cute pull out tab made with a Stampin' Up! round tab punch, Webster's Pages lace and some home made flowers.  In fact I made most of the flowers on the layout.

The large flower (above) was made from a silk flower that I had picked up off the floor in Michael's.  I took out the hard middle pieces, glued the layers back together and then added a porcelain flower to the center.  Cute, huh?

I love this picture.  I tried the popular, take a picture of yourself in the mirror, pose and the flash went off perfectly in the center of my neck.  Worked for me.  Here you can see a close up of some of the flower clusters and the fun butterfly I created with a cameo and Recollections butterfly.
That's all I have for you today.  Thanks for checking in.
