Halloween Wreath

Isn't this fun!?   I created my wreath using an old, falling apart swim noodle, some duct tape to hold it together and then tied black crepe paper all around it.  I made the bow using some fun ribbon from Michael's.  The skeleton is from the dollar store.  And I made the flowers out of some 'donated' orange card stock.  Total price..$3  yay!!

Here's a close up of Mr. Skeleton and his pretty home.
Thanks for stopping in..time for bed.  Good night

Altered Michael's $1 Coffin

One more post for today.  Here are some pictures of my Halloween mini album using one of those $1 Michael's coffins and thin cardboard.

It's pretty self explanatory, so I'll just share a few of the pictures. The mini album contains the Halloween costumes my kids wore from 1987 through1996.  It even includes some of my silly outfits.

Thanks for stopping in again :-)

Have a great day!

Pre-Halloween

I know it's a little early, but a few girls in my card class were asking to make some Halloween cards.  And if you know me, I aim to please. This is the first card I came up with.  It uses the Halloween paper from last years Target $1 bin and it came with the candy corn ribbon.  What a deal!  The layer that looks crackled is from the same stamp I had used on my Hello Pretty Kitty Halloween card. It's called Crackle Background by Delta. I love it because it gives the paper the unique look while toning down the bright colors.

Here's a close up of the pumpkin and the accordion fold flowers which were not very easy for my class to do!  We needed four hands to hold them down..we had fun though :-)
The card below is another Halloween card (obviously) that we created.  This one I designed around Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge #350.  For those of you who are not familiar with this stamp set, it's from Stampin' Up! and the inside reads a Haunting Halloween.
So that's it for now.
Thanks for stopping in :-)

Yo Yo Yellow blech!

Well I've gone and done it. I added YoYo Yellow to a card front and isn't it magnificent!! This card uses all of the stamps included in the Haunting Halloween set. And the wheel as well. I'll add a picture of the inside once the sun comes back out.
The base of the card is black with the Yo Yo next which I faux stitched using my Mat Pack for the first time. I stamped the stars from the stamp set onto Only Orange and matted that with Black. The image of the frog and cauldron were next. I water colored them using the colored pencils from Stampin' Up! with the Aqua Painters. I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to place the stars coming out of the cauldron. I then cut out a circle using a stickie note using my 1 1/4" circle punch. I put the cut out circle on the watercolor paper where I want the moon to be. Then I sponged on Black and Lovely Lilac to make the sky. Removed the circle and sponged in a bit of Barely Banana. I added Dazzling Diamonds to the stars. Water colored the witch and 'fussy cut' her out then popped her up on dimensionals. The 'Witching You" phrase was punched out using the oval punch, then I cut out two more ovals (free hand :-) out of Lovely Lilac then Black. Added some ribbon and poof!
