Happy Birthday Hat

 My goodness, I didn't realize how far behind I have fallen in my blogging until now! I had created this cute hat card in February and it's closing in on April already! 
My neighbor (who happens to be my very best customer) needed a birthday card for her grand daughter so this is what I made for her.  I used my Gypsy to create the base and the lettering.  The letters are from the Artiste cartridge which I welded together.  I love that 'weld' feature :-)

That's it for now...need to go get more photos off my camera so I can catch up with my blogging.

Princess

 The week is almost over..can you believe it!  Geesh these weeks/months are flying by.  This is my birthday month and I don't even remember getting close to age 50 now I'm even older than 50.  Yikes!  I suppose it is better than the alternative. I can't believe how much change happens after age 50.  Those wrinkles..they weren't there yesterday.  Then pop..look there's some more!  argggh

Ok, enough ranting about getting old.  How about something that celebrates being young!  This adorable card is for that little princess I'm still waiting to meet.  I created the card base using the baby onesie found on the Cricut Wrap it Up cartridge and my Gypsy.  I then cut out the onesie again using the shadow feature and ran the cuts through my Big Shot using Swiss Dots folder. The word Princess was cut out using the Cricut StoryBook cartridge. I adhered all the pieces to the base then set about decorating the little outfit. 

I gathered together some pink tulle and sewed it on to the waistline then added another bit of lace to cover the stitching.  Then I added pearls to the neckline and the waist.  Isn't it adorable?!
This card started out as a challenge, using any cartridge, to use the word Princess over at BBTB2.  ta-da!
And another challenge to use pastels over at the Die Cuttin Divas.

Baby Buggy Welcome

 Hello my friends, I hope your week has gone well. My highlight, this week, was a short visit with a very dear friend who I haven't seen in 3 months.  I don't know why we waited so long.  That's going to change!

 

Today's post is for a challenge over at Bitten by the Bug 2 .  The challenge was to use the word Welcome from any Cricut cartridge.  Since none of my cartridges have the word, I used my Cricut Storybook cartridge and spelled out Welcome.  I then made some cute pennants to put the letters on. The adorable baby buggy is from the very versatile Cricut Wrap It Up cartridge.

All the papers I used are from an adorable paper pack called Sweet Pea from the Paper Studio. I edged a lot of the pieces using cream acrylic paint, added some faux stitching then popped everything up with my handy dandy pizza box cardboard.

Puppy Thanks

 I created today's card as a thank-you to Liyah's Doctor and her staff.  They have been incredibly sweet and I would highly recommend their office to anyone in the Clermont Florida area. If you are not up to date on what happened to our dog, click here for our dreadful Pet Smart experience.

 To create the puppy, I used my Gypsy and Expression along with the cart called Ultimate Creative Series Sampler.  This is a major cart since it comes with 6 overlays! I personalized the pup by adding the pink bandages.  cuteness.

Here's a happier looking Liyah now that they end is drawing near for to finally stop visiting the Vets every week for a new bandage.  She went today, and will have x-rays done next week to see how her toe is healing.  Please cross your fingers (and toes) that everything is healing correctly.

Hello Kitty Get Well

Today's post highlights another one of those Cricut cartridges that I just had to have. Hello Kitty Greetings. Now what do I do with it!  The opportunity came up with Challenge me Monday on the blog Fantabulous Cricut.   This weeks challenge was to use some kind of cat using your Cricut.  Yay!  Plus my poor baby girl has been sick all night and day.  I'm thinking she can use a bit of a pick me up and I know this will put a smile on her face.  I used the Cricut Design Studio to create the card.  I think I need a bit more practice using it since the cuts didn't line up quite right.  I have a Gypsy that I wanted to use to create the card, but sadly I had linked my cartridge to my friend's Gypsy (yes you Kellee) before I had even considered getting one.  Or maybe I should just bite the bullet and use The Cricut Craft Room.  I'm just not liking the idea of  not being able to use my own cuts.

For those of you who were concerned about my pup and her 'Don't go to Pet Smart!' broken toe.  She had her bandage changed yesterday and is doing a lot better. Here she is playing with her favorite toy.

Anchors Away

Happy March!  Can you believe how quickly this year is going by.  Craziness!

Here is my first post of the month, isn't it adorable!  I've seen a few of these little sailboats on Pinterest and figured I'd give it a shot.  First I created the file and played around with it, using my Gypsy, until I was happy with the way it looked and folded.  I cut it out using my Cricut and then went to town decorating the little boat. 

I love the addition of the pom poms. And the life ring came out pretty cute, too.  All it took to create it was two circle punches and some embroidery floss.  Sometimes I amaze myself :-)
